Chiefs name Durban as alternative home

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed that they will utilise the  Stadium in Durban for three of their home games in the 2016/17 campaign.

The Soweto giants did the same thing last season, but played the matches at Cape Town Stadium.

"We are excited to announce the Moses Mabhida Stadium as our alternative home venue for this upcoming season," Jessica Motaung told the club's website.

"The stadium and the partnership details ticked the boxes, from brand association to the logistics checklist."

"We are delighted to now give Durban a chance to host the three selected home games. We have always commanded tremendous support in the province of KwaZulu-Natal," she said.

Ticketing and other arrangements are set to be announced in due course, with the Amakhosi kicking off their new campaign with an away fixture against Bidvest Wits on August 23rd.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
