Chiefs: Khune recovering well

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed that Itumeleng Khune is recovering well from his knee injury.

According to the club’s official website, Khune has started his rehabilitation as he looks to return to the Amakhosi starting XI.

“Khune's knee is recovering well,” says Kaizer Chiefs physiotherapist David Milner.

“The swelling is coming down and he has started the rehabilitation process.”

Meanwhile, Milner has also given an update on several other players sidelined with injuries including club captain, Siphiwe Tshabalala.

“Shabba’s ankle is looking better,” adds Milner about Tshabalala, who slightly hurt his ankle in a recent practice match.

“He will be back in training on Monday.”

Milner continues saying, "Ivan Bukenya has a hamstring strain and will be back in training on Monday."

The midfielder sustained the injury while on duty with the Ugandan national side during the FIFA week.

Eric Mathoho is also struggling with a niggling injury while David Zulu is rejoining the team with certain training sessions after having been out for a while due to injury.
