Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs' seemingly exiled centre-back Siyanda Xulu has been keeping busy off the pitch as his long wait for another opportunity in the first team continues.
The 24-year-old was signed by the Glamour Boys at the start of the 2015/16 campaign, however, he quickly fell out of favour under coach Steve Komphela.
In total, the defender has made just nine appearances in all competitions in the nearly one and a half years he has been at Naturena.
Despite reportedly being one of Chiefs' highest paid players after joining from Rostov, Amakhosi football manager Bobby Motaung said in July, "There are doubts about him from the technical point of view."
Nonetheless, despite being frozen out at Naturena, Xulu has been keeping busy off the pitch.
In October he was used by Chiefs in the community as part of a marketing campaign. The player dropped off a tracksuit to a fan who had purchased it at the side's new online store.
In addition, the Bafana Bafana international has recently signed a modelling contract with a clothing label, and is on the books of Revolve Modelling Agency.
However, it remains to be seen when he will once again feature in the first team with the likes of Lorenzo Gordinho, Eric Mathoho and Daniel Cardoso ahead of him in the pecking order.
Xulu in September opened up about his disappointment at being put on the transfer list at Amakhosi but added that he had no-one but himself to blame citing that he may not have done what was expected of him when given an opportunity to play.
He added that he was upset to not have fulfilled his goal of adding value to the team as a player with overseas experience.
