Chiefs had two moments, says Fadlu Davids

Cape Town - Despite suffering a 2-0 defeat against Kaizer Chiefs, Maritzburg United head coach Fadlu Davids is happy with his charges performance.

Gustavo Paez grabbed a brace to ensure the Soweto giants keep up with the rest of the chasing pack.

However, it was the heroics of Itumeleng Khune, who made several key saves for Steve Komphela's side.

"I'm extremely happy today with the performance, of course I'm disappointed about the result," Davids told SuperSport TV in his post-match interview.

"We tried everything to score, the boys played fantastically. Kaizer Chiefs had two moments and they scored.

"I think that was the difference this evening. We had our chances to score, I don't know what the stats are but we did everything but it didn't go in today.

"Well done to them, they got the points but I think the best team lost today."
