Chiefs duo injury-free, set for 2018 return

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs coach Steve Komphela has confirmed that defenders Kgotso Moleko and Ramahlwe Mphahlele will only return to Absa Premiership action next year.

Despite the pair recently returning to full training following their long-term injuries, Komphela takes the view that they haven't reached the right level of fitness to come back into his first-team plans.

He also hinted that when they do come back, he may switch to a back-four following the recent usage of three in defence with Joseph Molangoane and Philani Zulu operating regularly as wing-backs.

"We will have to have a think about what we are going to do‚ but we will have a plan. Moleko has started to come back‚ Rama (Mphahlele) as well is gaining fitness‚ we are just at the final stages of their protocols," Komphela told reporters.

"January we should have them. Then it will be the headache of what do you do with Philani‚ what do you do with Rama‚ what do you do with Moleko‚ Molangoane‚ it's a nice one."
