Chiefs confirm Pieterse departure

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed that goalkeeper Reyaad Pieterse will be leaving the Absa Premiership club at the end of the campaign.

Amakhosi and the former Shamrock Rovers shot-stopper failed to come to an agreement in recent contract talks after Pieterse admitted he's seeking a number one spot to continue his development.

Supersport United are reportedly favorites to sign the former Nike academy graduate who's also been linked with a moves abroad in recent weeks.

Despite the presence of Itumeleng Khune and Brilliant Khuzwayo, Pieterse has served as a reliable understudy for the injury pronbe duo over the campaign - keeping eight clean sheets in 17 fixtures in all competitions.
