Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs forward Bernard Parker believes the mood at the club is sky high following a recent run of four victories in a row.
After a slow start to 2016/17, the Glamour Boys now top the Premiership standings and appear to be very much the in-form side in South Africa.
Chiefs have won their last four matches in all competitions and head into their next game against Ajax Cape Town seemingly brimming with confidence.
Aside from wins in the league against Highlands Park, Maritzburg United and Free State Stars, Amakhosi also recorded a 4-1 victory over Bloemfontein Celtic in the Macufe Cup.
The match saw Parker hit the back of the net for the first time in nearly a year for Steve Komphela's men.
The 30-year-old's last strike had come against Golden Arrows in a PSL fixture in November last year.
Nonetheless, the player feels the return to form bodes well for the future.
He told IOL.co.za: "Those three games we won in a row came in nine days. There wasn't much time for training.
"It was just a matter of correcting the previous mistakes and playing. The wins boosted our confidence sky high and the guys are in the right frame of mind. We are psyched up for anything now."
The two sides clash heads on Saturday, October 15 at Moses Mabhida Stadium with kick-off set at 18:00.
