Cape Town - Former Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Brent Carelse is confident Keagan Dolly will remain at the club, despite rumours of a move to Europe.
Dolly joined the Brazilians at the beginning of last season, but spent the campaign on loan at Ajax Cape Town.
The playmaker broke into the Sundowns side this season and has quickly established himself as a key member of their midfield.
His eye-catching performances have sparked rumours of a potential move overseas, but Carelse believes the Tshwane giants are unlikely to entertain the idea of selling Dolly so soon after he joined the club.
"To be honest, it's every player's dream to play in Europe. I think with him making the move to Sundowns it is going to be unlikely for that to happen any time soon, let alone next season because Sundowns wouldn't want to lose a player after only one season," Carelse told Goal website.
"Unless the opportunity for a move to Europe comes and the club agrees for him to leave, then they will allow him to leave. But at the moment, I don't think they will allow him to leave.
"I think it will be too soon and I don't think the club will want to let go of a player like that, especially now that you have the other boy Zungu also wanting to go overseas and that is the future of Sundowns, and if they want to leave the club it is going to be a problem for them," he concluded.
