Johannesburg - Kaizer Chiefs defender Daniel Cardoso expressed his disappointment following Amakhosi's last minute lapse of concentration which led to an equalising goal from Golden Arrows at the weekend.
For a third consecutive game, the Soweto giants gave up a comfortable lead as they shared the spoils with Abafanabesthende in a 1-1 stalemate at the FNB Stadium on Saturday.
Substitute Ryan Moon was on target for the Phefeni Glamour Boys before Knox Mutizwa snatched a hard fought and well deserved last minute equaliser for the Durban based outfit and keep their top eight finish hopes alive.
Cardoso said it is unpleasant for a team of Chiefs stature to drop plenty of points in succession due to the defensive woes they have encountered recently.
“Lapse of concentration again costed us all three points,” Cardoso laments.
“We defended so well for 90 minutes and then conceded in the last minute again. That’s the problem for us at the moment.
“We are conceding silly goals at the crucial stages and we have dropped so many points now after leading for the most parts of our games.
“It is a disappointment for us heading to the next game because we still have another task of trying to fix these mistakes again.”
Chiefs next game will be against Polokwane City at the Peter Mokaba stadium on Saturday.
