Cape Town - Kaizer
Chiefs defender Daniel Cardoso believes the club did not live up to
expectations in 2016/17, and that big improvement is needed in 2017/18.
The Glamour Boys failed to win any silverware and also dropped out of the running for the Premiership title, with Bidvest Wits eventually being crowned champions.
Despite a 14 match unbeaten streak during the campaign, it was not to be for Amakhosi and Cardoso wants to put things right next season.
He told the club's official website, "It's no secret that the season was disappointing by Chiefs standards and we have been working hard in training to ensure that we close the season on a high. We are all very determined to finish the season on a high so as to please our supporters and sponsors.
"Conceding silly goals should be a thing of the past as we move forward and the team needs to pull up their socks next season so we can bring the glory days back."
Chiefs welcome PSL champions Wits to the FNB Stadium on Saturday in the last fixture of the season.
Kick off is at 15:00.
