Cardoso looking ahead to 2016

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs defender Daniel Cardoso is already looking ahead to 2016 after suffering an injury-blighted campaign thus far.

Cardoso has only featured once for Amakhosi since his move from Free State Stars during the off-season.

The versatile defensive stopper made his first appearance against Orlando Pirates in the Telkom Knockout semi-final last week.

With three games remaining in 2015 for Chiefs, Cardoso aims to make his mark on the team in the second half of the season.

"Only half an hour (game-time) but it was good to be back. It felt very good. I just wish I got more game time but I guess it will come as time goes," Cardoso told Goal website.

"I don't think I will play competitively this year. There are only three games left this year so I don't think I will catch a run in those games.

"It is feeling good. There is just a psychological barrier because it there is still pain but it is all in my head, I just have to get over it."
