Cape Town City sign Johannes

Cape Town - The newly-formed Cape Town City FC have confirmed the signing of experienced defender Robyn Johannes.

The 29-year-old had been training with the club for the last few weeks before putting pen to paper.

Johannes will make a return to top-flight football with the newest Premiership side after playing for AmaZulu in the NFD last season.

Johannes will bring with him a wealth of experience, having played for top South African clubs, including Mamelodi Sundowns, Orlando Pirates and Ajax Cape Town.

"We would like to officially welcome Robyn Johannes to Cape Town City FC," the club said in a statement.
