"Listen, I am a happy man [that Yeye has agree terms with Chiefs]. We should start there because he really deserves a new contract," the 46-year old told Goal website.
"I think they have realized that losing Reneilwe Letsholonyane would be a big loss of an asset for the next five years. He has always been a pillar of that team when it comes to the transition and when the team is defending.
"Every goal that has been scored for the last three years, Yeye always contributed to that movement. He's a team player, you can't lose a player like that. He is level-headed, humble."
Buthelezi added that losing a player as experienced and creative as Letsholonyane would be detrimental to the Glamour Boys due to his loyalty and consistency since joining the club from Jomo Cosmos in 2008.
"You don't lose somebody who is very genius in terms of pick-pointing the space making sure that everybody is involved in the creating of goals that's what Chiefs need," he continued.
