Cape Town - Orlando Pirates defender Marc Van Heerden is pleased to be at home again after illness had resulted in an 11-day stay in hospital.
The former Chippa United and AmaZulu left-back last featured for the Buccaneers in the 0-0 draw with Golden Arrows on November 21.
A reported bout of pneumonia derailed his season and led to a lengthy stay in hospital before he was discharged on Monday.
"It's good to be home after 11 days in hospital. Six days in high care. To my wife and select few people who were there [through] this difficult time, I have endless gratitude towards you, #GodIsGreat," Van Heerden tweeted.
The 29-year-old Bafana-capped defender is in his second campaign at Pirates having arrived from the Chilli Boys half way through last season.
