Bucs decide against Mulenga deal

Cape Town - Orlando Pirates have opted against signing Zambian midfielder Clifford Mulenga after he spent weeks training with the club.

After a stint with Zesco back home, Mulenga returned to the country as a free agent in the hope of finding a new home.

The 28-year-old has already played for University of Pretoria, Bloemfontein Celtic, SuperSport United, Ajax Cape Town, Bidvest Wits and Mpumalanga Black Aces.

Mulenga believes his timing may be wrong but will continue his search for new employment in the country.

"I think I came back in the country at the wrong time when most teams are having a tight schedule with their fixtures," he told KickOff.

"I am currently speaking to a few teams and hopefully something is going to come out and even if it is for a short-term contract I wouldn't mind.

"I have my clearance, I am free agent and I can sign with any team any time."
