Bucs agree deal for Nyatama

Cape Town - Orlando Pirates announced they have reached an agreement with Bloemfontein Celtic to secure the services of Musa Nyatama.

The versatile 29-year-old, who can operate in central defence or midfield, is due to undergo a medical on Wednesday ahead of signing for the Buccaneers.

Nyatama spent the past four seasons with Siwelele, the first two of which were on loan from Mamelodi Sundowns, and has a wealth of Premiership experience.

He made 28 league appearances for Celtic last term, contributing five goals as they finished outside the top eight in 12th place, just two points clear of relegated Highlands Park.

The Soweto giants confirmed the news on Twitter, saying: "The Bucs have reached an agreement with Bloem Celtic for the services of Musa Nyatama, set to arrive in JHB tomorrow for a medical.

"The club would like to thank Mr Max Tshabalala, Chairman of Bloem Celtic, for the professional manner in which he conducted the negotiations."

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
