Johannesburg - A brace from Collins Mbesuma sent Mpumalanga Black Aces to the top of the Absa Premiership standings following a 2-1 victory over Wits at Bidvest Stadium on Friday night.

The win takes them to 30 points from 14 games, one ahead of second-placed Wits.

Wits scored first after Thulani Hlatshwayo headed home a Daine Klate free-kick in the tenth minute.

But goals from Mbesuma in the 16th and 82nd minutes saw the men from Mpumalanga surge to the top of the log standings.
