Billiat remains cagey about Sundowns future

Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns star Khama Billiat has revealed little insight as to whether or not he will sign a new contract with the Absa Premiership champions, following the expiration of his deal.

Billiat has spent five seasons of success with Sundowns and helped the club to famously win the CAF Champions League in 2016. In addition, the 27-year-old has fired in 39 league goals since his move from Ajax Cape Town.

Nonetheless, the player is said to be holding out for a mega-money deal or reportedly would prefer a move abroad.

Speaking to Newsday, the talented forward said: "Honestly I don’t know yet (his next move) I have to first sit down with my manager and discuss, see what is best for Khama Billiat.

"We will see where the future is going to be, I just hope everything goes well and a good decision is made at the end.

"I will just pray to God and hope the decision that we will make in the end will be the right decision for everyone including me, everyone, who has been supporting me, and make the whole nation happy. I don’t want to rush anything."

The Zimbabwe international is currently with his national team taking part in the COSAFA Cup in South Africa, and he is likely to feature for the Warriors in Sunday's quarter-final against the winner of Group B.
