Billiat brushes off transfer rumours

Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Khama Billiat has brushed off recent reports linking him with a move abroad and claims he is focused on helping his club achieve more.

Reports in local media have suggested that the Zimbabwe international may be on the move, with teams in France, Belgium and China keeping tabs on his progress.

However, Billiat - who helped Sundowns secure a record seventh Premiership title with their 3-0 win over the University of Pretoria on Wednesday night - claims it's all just paper talk.

"Those are just rumours," he told Goal website. "I am a Sundowns player and all my focus is on my team.

"We still have two games to play in the league and then we continue the campaign in Africa and that's what I am looking at. There is nothing much more I can say right now."

Billiat has been in scintillating form for Downs this season, scoring 10 goals and registering 20 assists in all competitions.
