Baxter warns confident Baroka

Cape Town - SuperSport United coach Stuart Baxter has warned Baroka FC not to be overconfident ahead of their Nedbank Cup semi-final clash on Saturday.

The NFD outfit have been flying high in the competition after beating Chippa United, Golden Arrows and Polokwane City on their way to the last four.

Baroka coach Kgoloko Thobejane has boasted that his team can beat any Premiership challenger.

"Well, I think people say a lot of silly things in the intoxication of success...I don't think that's just their coach or their players; I think that's everybody, you have a tendency to get carried away with yourself," Baxter told KickOff.

"When we get to the game I don't have to counteract their confidence, we just have to play. We have to make sure of the 90 minutes, or whatever it takes, [to show] that we are better than they are.

"We have to be better and more organised than they think we are going to be, and our quality is better than they've played against before. So yes they are confident but we've still got to go and play the game."
