Baxter to evaluate SuperSport squad

Cape Town - SuperSport United coach Stuart Baxter has revealed that he will use the remainder of the season to evaluate where to reinforce in the off-season.

Baxter believes it is important that Matsatsantsa focus on a good finish to their campaign with the Nedbank Cup and league top eight still to play for.

The 11th-placed Matsatsantsa have had a tumultuous season after being touted as one of the title contenders at the start.

"If you look at the way we are playing right now, we want to maintain the good performances," Baxter told Goal website.

"We want to make sure we finish in the top eight in the league and then fight for the Nedbank Cup.

"We have to evaluate the team and the players at the end of the season and see what we can do in the pre-season. For now it's about doing well in the remaining matches of the season."

The Tshwane club faces Moroka Swallows in the Nedbank Cup Last 32 on Tuesday evening.
