Cape Town - University of Pretoria coach Shaun Bartlett believes his team will avoid relegation if they can replicate the performance they produced against SuperSport United.
The struggling AmaTuks put on a valiant performance but were knocked out of the Nedbank Cup after a 4-2 penalty shootout loss on Tuesday.
The university club gave up a 3-1 lead as Matsatsantsa fought back to draw 3-3 and force a shootout.
"Well what can I say, we came here with no expectations. I said before the game the changes we've made are for these players to stake their claim for this coming weekend," Barlett told SuperSport.
"But I said to the players now, there's nothing to be disappointed about. With that attitude, with that application, that fighting spirit, we deserve to stay in this league but we've got to do it on a consistent basis, starting on Saturday - that's our cup final - and we're gonna keep working until the last game of the season.
The second-from-bottom AmaTuks face relegation this season with a disappointing record of 17 points from 23 games.
Bartlett's charges face Maritzburg United who are also in the relegation danger at the Harry Gwala Stadium.
Kick-off is at 18:00.
