Baroka FC coach wants PSL silverware

Cape Town - Baroka FC coach Kgoloko Thobejane is confident his team can clinch silverware this season, despite the fact it is their first ever in the top flight.

The Limpopo-based side secured promotion to the top flight of South African football after winning the National First Division and have high hopes for their maiden season in the Premiership.

"We know it's tough but we have what it takes to make it in the big league," Thobejane told Soccer Laduma.

"We are not here just to add numbers but to compete. In our first season we want to win a trophy.

"There are many trophies in the PSL and, in every tournament we play in, we will be fighting for a win and a trophy. That's our attitude towards the PSL."

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
