Cape Town - Golden Arrows and Bloemfontein Celtic were left searching for their first Premiership win after playing out to a 1-1 draw at Princess Magogo Stadium on Wednesday.
Celtic made the perfect start to the game by going ahead inside six minutes when Deon Hotto escaped down the left and whipped in an excellent cross that was met by Roggert Nyundu's thumping header at the near post.
Arrows' response almost came after 13 minutes as Lehlohonolo Nonyane picked out Wayde Jooste in the box, but the former Siwelele man nodded wide.
But five minutes from the break the KZN outfit did draw level. It came via the penalty spot after Wandisile Letlabika shoved Jooste in the box and Mahachi stepped forward to make it 1-1.
After the interval Lantshene Phalane struck the crossbar, although the flag had been raised for a free-kick.
On the other side of the pitch, Mahachi and Musa Bilankulu shot wide for Arrows as the game moved from end to end without too much drama in front of goal.
With time running out, Celtic goalkeeper Patrick Tignyemb had to claw the ball off the line following a goalmouth scramble.
Knox Mutizwa then missed a golden chance to steal the points when he inexplicably shot wide from six yards after a Lerato Lamola knockdown.
