Arrows advance in Nedbank Cup

Cape Town - Golden Arrows were handed a scare but safely sealed their place in the Nedbank Cup last 16 with a battling 2-1 win over lower division side Milford FC in Umlazi on Saturday.

Ryan Chapman opened the scoring for the host when he capitalised on a poor defensive header after 37 minutes.

Kudakwashe Mahachi then doubled the scoring in the 66th minute from the penalty spot, before former AmaZulu frontman Siyabonga Vilane pulled a goal back seconds later.

Abafana Bes'thende goalkeeper Ricardo Goss then had to make some critical saves at the death as Clinton Larsen's men held on.
