Cape Town - AmaZulu defender Mbongeni Gumede says his club are out for revenge when they face Kaizer Chiefs in the Absa Premiership on Wednesday, after losing to Amakhosi in the Telkom Knockout (TKO).
In their TKO match at the Moses Mabhida Stadium, the Glamour Boys thrashed Usuthu 3-0 with goals coming from George Maluleka, Siphiwe Tshabalala and Hendrick Ekstein.
As such, Gumede believes Wednesday's league clash at the King Goodwill Zwelithini Stadium is an opportunity to gain a measure of revenge.
"We let ourselves down against Chiefs during the cup match. In my view, we did not perform badly on the night," he told his team's official website.
"We were just too unlucky. They scored with two deflected shots. We created chances which we could not convert.
"This will be a different match. We are playing for points. I am looking forward to the game. It’s our chance to make things right.
"I believe that we will get a positive result because we will be playing at home."
The match between the two sides is scheduled to take place from 19:30.
