AmaZulu in swap deal with Chippa

Cape Town - Free-spending KwaZulu-Natal side AmaZulu have boosted their strike-force with the signing of Rhulani Manzini from Chippa United, with defender Ayabulela Konqobe going the other way.

The 29-year-old Manzini has been signed on a three-year deal and will bolster a forward line containing 39-year-old Siyabonga Nomvethe, 35-year-old Mabuthi Khenyeza, and 18-year-old Dylan Stoffels.

"We welcome Rhulani to AmaZulu and hope that he will be a good addition to the squad," Usuthu general manager Lunga Sokhela stated on the club's website

"As for Ayabulela Konqobe, we wish him all the best."

Head coach Cavin Johnson's side started their season with a 1-0 win over Free State Stars before losing 0-2 away to Chippa on Tuesday night.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
