Cape Town = AmaZulu have confirmed the signing of Orlando Pirates defender Mbongeni Gumede on a three-year-deal.
According to the club's official website, the Umlazi-born man proved to be a key player during his loan spell last season from the Buccaneers, which garnered him widespread praise from the Usuthu faithful.
AmaZulu General Manager Lunga Sokhela officially unveiled the player, known as 'Shoes', via a statement.
"We’re pleased to announce that we’ve agreed matters with Orlando Pirates and we’re delighted to have Shoes come on a permanent basis."
Gumede will join up with head coach Joey Antipas' pre-season camp ahead of next weekend’s pre-season tournament in Richards Bay.
