Amakhosi boosted by returning trio

Cape Town - George Maluleka, Gustavo Paez and Eric Mathoho have all recovered from injury and should be in the squad for Saturday's match against Bloemfontein Celtic.

Maluleka (calf strain) and Paez (hamstring injury) missed the recent wins over Golden Arrows and Cape Town City, while Mathotho (ankle) was absent for the Citizens encounter.

But all three are expected to be available for selection for the league match against Phunya Sele Sele at the FNB Stadium on Saturday.

"Mido (Maluleka) is back in full training," Chiefs physiotherapist Dave Milner told the club website. "He has responded well to the treatment and we are optimistic that he will go through training without a glitch.

"Gustavo Paez is also back in full training," Milner revealed, with the website statement also confirming that Mathotho is 'taking part in full training'.

There are also several other Glamour Boys making good progress from their respective injuries.

"[Dumsani Zuma] is starting this week with light training. [Emmanuel Letlotlo] will be undergoing a strength test and that will give us indication of his state of recovery," said Milner.

In addition, Kabelo Mahlasela 'is off the crutches and walking without any assist,' while Teenage Hadebe will be hoping to overcome a niggling ankle injury.
