Cape Town - Polokwane City midfielder Cole Alexander has praised the immediate impact new head coach Julio Leal has had on the club in less than a week after being appointed.
The Brazilian-born Leal was appointed last week after the club parted ways with Kosta Papic in October and Alexander has revealed that he has already lifted the spirit of the squad with his positive and calm demeanour.
"The morale is definitely better now than before and the players are pushing harder during our training sessions," he told KickOff.
"I think the coach has the ability to tap into our minds and to make each player tick. It's already clearly visible in the group.
"That is definitely something that was lacking before. We surely have the talent but the mental aspect was absent.
"The players realise what is at stake and you can see them opening up to him. The coach is also no stranger to the PSL, so he can't be fooled and knows what he wants."
City face Platinum Stars on Saturday, November 21 at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.
Kick-off is at 15:30.
