Ajax still showing Lolo's family support

Cape Town - Ajax Cape Town released a statement, as social media reports reveal that the club have not been showing Cecil Lolo’s family adequate support.

The defender tragically lost his life in fatal car accident last month and has since been laid to rest.

Reports via social media revealed that the Ikamva club have not been showing enough support at Lolo's service.

Ajax issued a statement on their official website informing the general public on the surfacing reports.

"It is with regret that Ajax Cape Town take note of the unfortunate statements on social media and in the press relating to the funeral of Cecil Lolo held in Cele in the Eastern Cape on Sunday past," read the statement.

"Even more so, our extreme disappointment, that Cecil’s funeral is being used as a platform to advance political agendas.

"The club will continue to do its utmost to support the family, fellow players and friends in every possible way as we have done in the past 2 weeks.

"Throughout this period the club has been in constant communication with the family in the handling of all matters related to Cecil’s memorials and funeral arrangements.

"We humbly request that we all continue to support those who are grieving Cecil’s passing.

"Ajax Cape Town have been and will continue to support Cecil’s family during this very difficult time."
