Aces hammer hapless Rovers

Cape Town - Mpumalanga Black Aces made light work of United Rovers as they carved out a 7-0 win in a Nedbank Cup encounter on Sunday.

Black Aces wasted no time in asserting themselves on the game, with Aubrey Modiba playing the ball through for Nonyane, who duly fired home after just seven minutes.

Ngoma then scored the first of his two goals from the penalty spot with 16 minutes gone on the clock, before smartly slotting home his second on 33 minutes.

AmaZayoni showed no signs of letting up after the break and Jayiya added a fourth on 52 minutes with a fiery strike, while Mulenga got in on the party by hammering home the fifth goal of the afternoon with around 11 minutes remaining.

The visitors weren't done yet, either, as Jayiya grabbed his second and third goals of the afternoon in the closing moments, leaving United Rovers convincingly beaten and sending Aces through to the next round full of confidence.
