According to Soccer Laduma, Baxter has given Zulu time to settle in and does not expect the striker to hit the back of the net immediately.
“He’s got to come to us, learn how we play and show that he can deliver on a regular basis,” said Baxter.
“Is that something that will happen overnight? Of course not. But I think we should allow all our players leeway.
“I don’t think he’ll make any sort of appearance against Hoffenheim, he may get five or ten minutes at the finish, but I think he’ll do better to just see how we approach the game.”
Chiefs take on Hoffenheim on Friday, January 16 at the FNB Stadium.
Kick-off is at 19:30.
