Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs striker David Zulu feels it is "just a matter of time" before he becomes a regular fixture in the first team.

The former Chippa United striker has struggled to work himself into the reckoning under Amakhosi coach Stuart Baxter after joining from Chippa United during the January transfer window.

And while some have questioned whether he is up for the challenge of wearing the famous black and gold jersey, Zulu himself is confident of eventually earning his place in the squad.

“Goals are the language of strikers,” he told KickOff.

“However, what matters most is that I want to help the team first before I pursue personal goals because it is important to understand that we win as a team.

“You must also understand that I am a player who creates as well.

“I am slowly getting to understand all my team-mates' runs and they are also getting to understand my runs, so it's just a matter of time before I'm an integral part of the team.”
