Zamalek fire 'warning' shot

Cape Town - Orlando Pirates should expect a titanic CAF Confederation Cup clash against AS Zamalek after their opponents issued a "warning" on social media.

The South African side last met their Egyptian rivals in 2013 as the Bucs eased past Zamalek in the semi-finals of the CAF Champions League. The Soweto giants eased past their illustrious opponents 4-1 on aggregate to progress to the final.

The Egyptian giants might have that encounter in mind as they took to social media to warn the Eric Tinkler's men that they are now on a "Mbombela mission".

Zamalek's tweet:

Orlando Pirates will renew their rivalry against Zamalek on Saturday, July 11 at the Mbombela Stadium.

The CAF Confederation Cup group B match kicks off at 15:00.
