Wits to bounce back from defeat

Cape Town - Bidvest Wits will look to return to winning form in the Absa Premiership when they host Black Aces at Bidvest Stadium.

Wits suffered a third defeat from their last six league matches when they went down 1-0 away to Free State Stars in midweek.

The Johannesburg side has claimed 26 points from 13 home matches this season.

Their remaining league opponents are Kaizer Chiefs (away) and Platinum Stars (home).

The Clever Boys are placed fourth on the Absa Premiership log with 45 points from 27 matches.

Aces extended their unbeaten to three league matches with a 2-2 draw at Polokwane City in midweek.

The Mpumalanga side has claimed 15 points from 13 away matches this season.

Their remaining league opponents are Chippa United (home) and Free State Stars (away).

AmaZayoni are placed 11th on the Absa Premiership log with 31 points from 27 matches.

In head-to-head stats, Wits and Aces have met in 32 league matches since 1985.

The Clever Boys have claimed 17 wins compared to just three for AmaZayoni, while 12 matches have been drawn.

Wits have won 10 of their 15 home matches against Aces, suffering just one defeat in the process.

When the teams met earlier this season, the Clever Boys claimed a 2-1 away win in Mpumalanga.

Kick-off is at 15:00 on Saturday, May 2.
