"It will certainly be a tough game for us, but our boys are more than ready," he
"There will be difficult conditions out there this evening looking at the weather and knowing
the pitch isn’t the best."
The assistant coach emphasised that Wits were familiar with the Coetzenburg stadium as the team did their
pre-season training there.
"It won’t be the prettiest game of football but we are certainly up for the
fight. We are familiar with Coetzenburg as we did our pre-season here," said Johnstone.
"Whether the match works in our favour or not? I’m not sure.
"We know Ajax will be going all out after having lost to us in the league last
weekend and they will feel they deserved more out of that game, but we are
prepared for that and will do what’s necessary to put us in a good
position for our home leg at the end of the month."
The Clever Boys will challenge the Urban Warriors in the first leg of the MTN8
clash on Saturday, August 15 at Coetzenburg stadium.
Kick-off is set for 20:15.
