Wits hold onto Vilakazi for now

Cape Town – With no overseas interest for Sibusiso Vilakazi, the midfielder claims that he doubts he will leave for any other PSL club despite reports linking him with a move to Kaizer Chiefs.

According to Soccer Laduma, Vilakazi attended trials in Denmark with Brondby. There have been further interest in the player from Belgium as well.

There have been no formal offers yet from overseas clubs but Vilakazi admits that he is happy at the Students if nothing comes up.

“If a big offer comes and the club accepts it then I will consider joining local, but I don’t see that happening, plus I’m happy at Wits, so I won’t mind staying if an overseas offer doesn’t come,” Vilakazi said.

He remains positive that a move abroad will happen as the transfer window is still open while reports suggest that Wits declined a bid for the midfielder to move to the Naturena.
