Cape Town - Bidvest Wits CEO Jose Ferreira insist there is no rush for the club to renew any of the players’ contracts.

According to KickOff, Ferreira admits that all contract talks are on the shelf for now as they have the option of one year on many of the contracts that needs to be extended.

“There are many players whose contracts are ending at the end of the season, you can’t just ask me about one player,” Ferreira said.

“Bhasera [Omismo] is the same as any other player at the club and the reason we are going to make the call by May 31st is because there is no rush because we have the option to renew.

“If you ask me what’s the chance of us not taking up that option, the answer is zero.”

The players whose contract is set to expire at the end of the season include Omismor Bhasera, Papy Faty, Christopher Katongo, Henrico Botes, Dillon Sheppard and Rowen Fernandez.
