Pretoria - Following their crucial win over Maritzburg, SuperSport United goalkeeper Ronwen Williams said his team-mates are no longer concerned about the performances they could display on the field of play but they will be all out to get the required results at the end of each game they will play.
Matsatsantsa defeated the struggling Team of Choice 1-0 at the Harry Gwala stadium on Saturday courtesy of Jeremy Brockie’s first half strike.
The Port Elizabeth born shot-stopper cited that United intend to keep their top 8 spot at the end of the season, which is why they are so eager to win as many games as possible in their remaining fixtures.
“For us it was a do or die situation.” Williams insisted
“We needed the maximum points so badly to secure our spot in the top 8 come end of the season.
“It was very tough for us but we stuck together at the end.
“At this stage of the season, we really don’t care about how we play, as long as we get the results our way.
“Because that’s what all its about in football and I’m happy that we won at Maritzburg.”
Victory for Matsatsantsa sent them to the seventh spot on the log with only six games left to play.
Their next ABSA Premiership assignment will be away to Platinum Stars on Wednesday next week.
