We'll play to win - Lekgwathi

Cape Town - Orlando Pirates' veteran skipper Lucky Lekgwathi says the Buccaneers will go all out to grab maximum points when they meet Free State Stars tonight.

Pirates will travel to QwaQwa to lock horns against Eila Koto in their Absa Premiership encounter at the Charles Mopeli stadium.

Both sides are coming off weekend defeats as Eric Tinkler’s men lost 1-0 to Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday while Stars narrowly missed out on a draw in a 1-0 loss to Platinum Stars away in Rustenburg.

According to a report on the Kick-Off website, “Phinda Mzala” said it is always tough for them to walk away victorious at the bumpy pitch in QwaQwa, but they are determined to improve on their weekend performance.

A win for Pirates could take them as high as fourth should other results go their way tonight.

Stars are currently in the relegation zone in 15th spot.

Kick-off is at 19:30.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
