Vilakazi tipped to assist Letsoaka

Cape Town - Well-travelled coach, David Vilakazi, is among candidates identified for the role of assistant coach to newly appointed Golden Arrows coach, Serame Letsoaka.

A source close to the former Bafana Bafana assistant coach told Sport24 that Letsoaka rates Vilakazi highly and wants to have an assistant he can trust.

“I can tell you that the new Golden Arrows coach rates Vilakazi highly and the two have good working relations that come from their days at Free State Stars as football players,” the source said.

“He wants somebody who will always have his back and help him succeed."

Vilakazi, a former teammate of Letsoaka at Free State Stars in the 90s is a well-travelled coach having also assisted Steve Komphela at Platinum and Maritzburg United.

He has also coached a number of national First Division clubs over the years.
