Cape Town - Former Mamelodi Sundowns player Roger Feutmba believes Bidvest Wits captain Sibusiso Vilakazi is a complete midfielder and could walk into any European team that plays his kind of football.
The former Cameroon international admits 'Vila' is his favorite player in the league and has suggested his talent deserves to be showcased at the highest level.
Despite his admiration for the Bafana Bafana midfielder, Feutmba also lavished praise on two other players from his former club.
"At Sundowns you have a player like Bongani Zungu who is a great player. If you want to talk about midfielders in South Africa then you have to say Teko Modise who is still doing well. Then you have Sibusiso Vilakazi who is one of the best midfielders in South Africa today," the 46-year-old told Goal website.
"The difference with him is that he can take players on, he can deal with high balls, he can score goals. He can even pass the ball very well so for me he is the complete midfielder and you don't have many of those in football, not just in South Africa.
"Vilakazi can make it overseas easily! He just has to find the team with the right style of play. He wouldn't suit England so much but he could go to France, he could go to Belgium, where they play good football, not just putting the ball up field.
"That is what makes him a better player, (at Wits) they play long balls to him and he adapts."
Vilakazi was named Absa Premiership Player of the Season in the 2013-2014 campaign after scoring ten league goals, and will be looking to replicate that form as Gavin Hunt looks to build a title challenge with the Clever Boys this season.
