Tycoons close in on Mabizela

2009-01-29 10:46

Johannesburg -  Former Bafana Bafana captain Mbulelo Mabizela is poised to be unveiled as a Platinum Stars player before the transfer window closes on Friday.

A reliable source has said that Stars are close to signing the Mamelodi Sundown’ defender after what the informant said was a ‘good meeting’ between the North West-based outfit and the Brazilians this week.

“Platinum Stars have increased their offer and it now appears that both Orlando Pirates and Bloemfontein Celtic have dropped out of the race to sign Mabizela.”

OJ’s agent, Francisco Ferreri of ProSport International, also confirmed that the Tycoons are the only team that has made an official offer to Sundowns for the services of the KwaZulu\Natal-born player.

“All the other teams were waiting for Sundowns to put a price on Mabizela, but Stars have taken the initiative by officially approaching Sundowns with an offer for Mabizela,” he adds.

I hope that the boy has learnt his lesson.

At Pirates we never had any problem with the boy, and also he is a human being and should be given a chance. All he need is to be taught he must make time for everything. Time for work, family, friends and entertainment. Now in Pretoria there is mostly time for nyaope and grazy people.

  • Himbu - 2009-01-29 12:05

I hope you will tolerate him. My advise is that, keep him away from your young players.

  • Footballer - 2009-01-29 13:06

Let's not be so quick to pull our players down and to write them off, this boy has learnt his lessons and we need to support in good and bad times, stop being so self-righteous, I suppose you all are perfect in your private lives.

  • Anonymous User - 2009-01-29 13:08

Hey boy please leave your wayward behaviour, start making money out of something that you do best which is football, and you can drink and jol as much as you want after 6 to 7 years by then you will surely be a millionair

  • sipho Matsaba - 2009-01-29 13:12

Mabizela, hang your boots before you you kill your name in soccer

  • Nomzi Stuurman - 2009-01-29 13:34

Don't do that again my boy. There are many young stars who wish to be like you / or to get the chance to be a proffesional one day.

  • Anonymous User - 2009-01-29 14:24

there is nothing like last chance, he is forgetting that talent is only what people see from you, if they don't see that, you don't have talent! we can only read about the legends, we still respect their names, but we have never seen them playing

  • Bethuel - 2009-01-29 15:30

Mbulelo Mabizela's talent is so precious to be lost in SA soccer.

  • Tabile - 2009-01-29 16:26

I am sure Orlando Pirates can offer him a better contract that will help him Rehabilitate as soon as possible. God bless OJ.....!

Gammond is digging his own grave. How is he going to control 3 uneducated, arrogant, silly, former Pirates plyers. Gammond R.I.P

  • Anonymous User - 2009-01-29 23:06

Gammond is brave. 3 former Pirates players????????????????????????/

  • Anonymous User - 2009-01-30 11:15

Platinum stars will regret signing this undiscipline players ,they are no good to any team in PSL and so to platinum stars ,They are simply there to dig gummond 's grave.

  • NATHI - 2009-01-30 15:24

these agent are misleading the players why they push the boy to p/stars while he said clearly that he want to go back to bucs ,they only advice him financial but his heart is not there just like on sundowns.
