Tshabalala back on his feet

Johannesburg - Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Siphiwe Tshabalala is slowly returning to full fitness following two weeks out with injuries to both his knee and ankle.

Shabba picked up the knocks in training and missed his side's 1-1 draw with Jomo Cosmos as well as the 3-0 victory over Moroka Swallows.

The 27-year-old has since started light training with Amakhosi physio Dave Milner in an attempt to be fit for the upcoming clash with Bidvest Wits.

Milner revealed on the club's official website: "Siphiwe (Tshabalala) will be assessed this coming Friday to see if he is ready to travel to Mpumalanga."

He joins Reneilwe Letsholonyane on the comeback trail although the latter's injury is far more serious. Yeye began with gym work after getting off crutches this week following his January blow.

Meanwhile, Lucky Baloyi, who was substituted against Swallows on Saturday after suffering a knock to his knee, is expected to return to full training this week.
