Cape Town - University of Pretoria joint head coach Sammy Troughton believes
his side were full value for their 0-0 draw with Orlando Pirates on
Wednesday.
Troughton's troops held their more illustrious opponents to a goalless draw at the Tuks Stadium, with the Buccaneers largely blunted by a feisty performance from the home side.
Reflecting on the encounter, Troughton asserted that a draw was a fair result, with neither side doing enough to win the three points.
"The clean sheet is pleasing, because we have been conceding soft goals of late, but maybe creating a few more chances is something we will look at," he said.
"Overall I think we were good value for the result, I think a draw is fair, but unfortunately we couldn’t get a goal.
"The lads showed terrific commitment, put their bodies on the line at times which stands us in good stead heading into our next game."
The result sees Tuks remain in 12th spot in the Premiership standings.
