The 'Phefeni Glamour Boys' legion had hoped to celebrate with the team after Wednesday's clash with Polokwane City at the FNB Stadium.
The PSL CEO Brand de Villiers said in a statement that the "Absa Premiership Trophy will be handed to the champions on the last weekend of the 2014/15 Absa Premiership season, Saturday, May 9, 2015."
Gauteng fans went on to social media platforms expressing their disgust at the decision, saying that Chiefs fans in the province lose out on the celebrations every time the team wins the league. 'Amakhosi' celebrated victory at the Mbombela Stadium in Mpumalanga at the end of the 2012/13 season.
Reacting to football commentator Neal Collins' tweet, Kgomotso Maimela said: "That's very unfair for us Joburg supporters. We attend all the home games @FNBStadium the whole season but when times comes to celebrate, this is done away from home."
The League also confirmed that the last two block fixtures of the Premiership on Wednesday, May 6 and Saturday, May 9 will be played simultaneously.
Kick-off for Wednesday night's fixtures will be 19:30 while Saturday's fixtures will kick-off at 15:00.
