Torrealba growing frustrated

Johannesburg - Kaizer Chiefs forward Jose Torrealba has revealed his frustration at his lack of opportunities this season.

The Venezuela international has been overlooked time and again this campaign and is starting to grow disillusioned watching his team-mates from the sidelines.

"It is frustrating I must admit. I am working hard like everybody and it is difficult when you have to watch your teammates from the stands or the bench," the 30-year-old told Chiefs' official website.

"I try to support my colleagues (and) help everyway I can. It the coach's decision on who plays on the day. My job is to train and be ready when I am given an opportunity to play."

Torrealba insists that he needs to be playing in order to return to his best, but sadly that is not happening for him at the moment.

"To be back at my level best, I need to play more games. It is very difficult when you are not playing," the former Mamelodi Sundowns striker added.

"I am working hard at training every day and try to do everything the coach is expected of me - but I am not playing and I need to play to regain my form."

Torrealba will be hoping for a chance to shine when Chiefs clash with Santos in a Telkom Knockout semi-final at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday night.
