Johannesburg - It seems like the ongoing legal battle between Jose Torrealba and Mamelodi Sundowns is far from reaching its end.
Earlier this week, the Tshwane-based club and the Venezuelan were back in court for the case that was brought up by the player after it was proved in 2007 that his signature was forged by the club when they extended his contract.
But PSL prosecutor, Zola Majavu, told the Siya crew that no decision has been made regarding the matter.
“That case is still pending, it is still ongoing,” said Majavu. Torrealba told the Siya crew that his lawyers are handling the issue and will inform him on the latest developments at the appropriate time.
“I came here for that thing you know and I will go back to Venezuela because I am still under contract. I don’t want to comment on that because I have to ask my lawyer about it. I don’t know what’s going on there,” said Torrealba.
The former Kaizer Chiefs striker assured the Siya crew that there is no way he has come to sign with any PSL club because he will be returning to Venezuela soon. Torrealba has been on the books of Venezuelan club Mineros de Guyana FC since left Kaizer Chiefs in the middle of last season.
