Tinkler's striking headache

Cape Town - Orlando Pirates coach Eric Tinkler says he has a number of quality strikers at his disposal this PSL season.

Lehlohonolo Majoro, Thamsanqa Gabuza, Tendai Ndoro and the injured Kermit Erasmus will all be fighting for starting positions this season but Tinkler says that having such depth puts the squad in a strong position.

"Yes it's a headache but it's a nice headache to have," Tinkler said.

"These are all very good top class strikers and obviously I will have a headache in selecting which players to play or not to play, but it's a nice headache to have.

"We know whoever plays can the team what they need and that's goals."

Pirates take on Soweto rivals Kaizer Chiefs in Saturday's Carling Black Label Cup. Kick-off is at 15:30.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
